The project underway at the Sedan plant is fully aligned with this ambition: to make Tarkett the most innovative and sustainable flooring and sports surfaces company.
A Project Aimed at Reducing the Carbon Footprint
As part of its efforts to decarbonize its operations, Tarkett enlisted Perfesco’s expertise to upgrade the lighting at its Sedan facility. The project involved replacing more than 2,000 light fixtures with more efficient, energy-saving models. Thanks to this initiative, energy consumption related to lighting was reduced by more than 65%, enabling the Sedan site to achieve annual energy savings of more than 500 MWh.
Significant economic, environmental, and social benefits
This modernization offers multiple benefits: in addition to energy savings, the quality of the lighting has been significantly improved, providing a more pleasant and safer work environment for the site’s employees. Furthermore, this initiative enables Tarkett to control its operating costs by reducing its energy expenses.
A project resulting from the collaboration of several stakeholders committed to the energy transition
The success of this project depends on close collaboration among several stakeholders:
- Crédit Agricole d’Ile-de-France: As part of its commitment to the energy transition, Crédit Agricole d’Ile-de-France offers a program designed to support businesses through this transition. In this context, the Regional Bank connected Perfesco and Tarkett to help the site achieve its energy goals through solutions for developing and financing decarbonization projects.
- Tarkett: Tarkett’s teams worked closely with Perfesco to ensure the project was managed effectively and aligned with the company’s sustainability goals.
- ADT 08: After completing the necessary studies to determine the project’s scope, Perfesco partnered with ADT 08 to carry out the work. The work took place over a period of 5 months, without disrupting site operations and in accordance with the projected schedule.
Thus, this energy-efficiency renovation project for the lighting at the Tarkett site in Sedan illustrates the shared commitment of Perfesco and its partners to energy conservation. This project, carried out in close collaboration among the various stakeholders involved, demonstrates the effectiveness of a collaborative approach in support of the energy transition.
